My new student, a boys' weekend, and a visit to the archives.

My new student just completed his first week of ten, and he totally earned a gold star.  Not only is he super smart (come in and grill him on your injuries!), but he's versatile... he also helped with laundry, and he demonstrates excellent handling skills with Duke O'Grit, Live Life Believe's resident puppy!  He is quite competent and a quick study, so make sure you come in this summer to work with him - students are usually up on the latest research and can be excellent clinicians.

My daughter never lets being fully clothed get in the way of a good swim.

My creative juices are not quite flowing this week.  Maybe it's the amazingly gorgeous weather we've had over the past couple of days.  Or maybe it's that my ever-travelling husband was away on a boys' weekend and I had to (once again) wrangle my little precious on my own.  Being a single mom is tough business... for any of you that do this full time, you are clearly a superhero!

On to this week's blog topic... I don't know why it's coming up so much more recently, but the conversation about body image has been a common theme over the past 2 or 3 weeks.  Videos like this one keep popping up on the internet, and I love it because I, like many other moms, vow to raise my daughter to believe her worth is more than her waist size or a number on a scale.  I don't ever want her to feel she has to cover her beautiful face with make up, or feel like it's not okay to play in a pile of mud or eat an ice cream cone.  So, I thought this would be a good time to take our first dive back into the archives to talk about body image again.  I'd love to generate some discussion on the topic, so feel free to add your 2 cents.  Have a great week!

Next week: Core Stability, monkey spines, and crunches, OH MY!
